Description

A delicious and moist vanilla cake that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder. Gradually add to the wet mixture on low speed until just combined.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
