Description

A fun and colorful snack where pickles are combined with Kool-Aid for a unique flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 jar (16 ounces) pickle spears
  • 1 packet Kool-Aid drink mix (any flavor)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Open the jar of pickle spears and carefully pour the pickle juice into a separate bowl. Set the juice aside.
  2. Rinse the pickle spears under cold water to remove any remaining brine.
  3. Place the rinsed pickles back into the empty jar or a clean airtight glass container with a lid.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the Kool-Aid drink mix and granulated sugar.
  5. Slowly add small amounts of water to the Kool-Aid mixture, stirring continuously, until it forms a thick paste.
  6. Gradually pour the reserved pickle juice into the Kool-Aid mixture. Stir until the sugar and Kool-Aid are completely dissolved, and the liquid is brightly colored.
  7. Pour the Kool-Aid mixture over the pickles, making sure they are fully submerged. Add more water if needed to completely cover the pickles.
  8. Seal the jar or container tightly with a lid.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 48 hours to allow the flavors to develop. For a bolder flavor, marinate up to 7 days.
  10. Serve the Kool-Aid pickles chilled as a fun snack or alongside sandwiches and burgers.
