Description

A delicious beef stir fry made with flank steak and a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef by tossing it with cornstarch in a bowl. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated beef in batches until browned (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic until fragrant (30 seconds).
  4. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl. Pour into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  5. Return cooked beef to the skillet and toss to coat in sauce. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
