- 16 oz elbow macaroni
- 2 cups evaporated milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook macaroni until just al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk evaporated milk, whole milk, and eggs until combined.
- Stir in seasoned salt and garlic powder into the milk mixture.
- Butter a baking dish and layer half the macaroni, then top with half the cheeses.
- Repeat with remaining macaroni and cheese.
- Pour milk mixture evenly over pasta layers.
- Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
- Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can add bread crumbs on top for extra crunch.
