Description

This creamy baked macaroni and cheese is a comforting dish that pleases everyone.


Ingredients

  • 16 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook macaroni until just al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, whisk evaporated milk, whole milk, and eggs until combined.
  4. Stir in seasoned salt and garlic powder into the milk mixture.
  5. Butter a baking dish and layer half the macaroni, then top with half the cheeses.
  6. Repeat with remaining macaroni and cheese.
  7. Pour milk mixture evenly over pasta layers.
  8. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  9. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  10. Let rest 5-10 minutes before serving.
