Description
A delicious Honey Garlic Chicken recipe that is easy to prepare and full of flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 3 Tablespoon olive oil
- 2 Tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 green onions (sliced)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 Tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- 2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Start by preparing the sauce. In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, toasted sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set the sauce aside.
- Next, cut the chicken breasts into small, ½-inch pieces. Season them with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss the chicken in flour until each piece is evenly coated.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of oil, swirling to coat the skillet. Once hot, add half of the chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides and fully cooked. Transfer the cooked chicken to a separate plate and set aside. Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet and repeat the cooking process with the second batch of chicken until cooked through. Set all the chicken aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low and add butter. Add minced garlic cloves and sauté for 30-60 seconds, or until fragrant.
- Give the sauce a quick stir, then pour it into the skillet with the garlic. Stir the sauce and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes to activate the cornstarch and thicken.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, stirring to coat it evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and top with sliced green onions. Enjoy your delicious Honey Garlic Chicken!
